Palfab produces four main by-products from its manufacturing process: Woodchip, sawdust, bark and shavings. Of the log raw material used approximately 45% converts to by-product.  Woodchip is used as a raw material for fibreboard manufacture. Sawdust is used as a raw material for chipboard manufacture. Bark is mulched for use in the horticultural industry. Shavings are used as boiler fuel and as animal bedding in the agricultural industry.
